Keys of Death and Hades:

In Revelation 1verse 18, Jesus makes a powerful statement:

"I am He who lives,
and was dead,
and behold,
I am alive forevermore,
Amen.
I have descended into the keys of Hades and of Death."

But what are these keys? Are they physical? Were they taken from powerful angels like Abaddon or Azrael?

Biblically, the keys symbolize authority and control.
To hold the keys of death and Hades means Christ has complete dominion over death and the realm of the dead.
This was not a heist of hardware, but a divine reclaiming of spiritual jurisdiction that was once hijacked by rebellion.

👁️‍🗨️ The Whisper that Triggered a Cosmic Rebellion

The Bible tells us that Lucifer, once the most beautiful of all created beings, fell because of pride (Isaiah 14:12-15, Ezekiel 28:17). But he didn’t fall alone.

Revelation 12:4 suggests that one-third of the angels followed him. How? Not by force—but by deception.

“Lucifer said in his heart,
‘I will ascend to heaven...
I will make myself like the Most High.’”
(Isaiah 14:13)

You have to wonder,

"How and where did Lucifer receive these thoughts from?"

Lucifer whispered a thought;
"Which a thought can be a seed"
That is if you water it, or feed it your energy by using up time and
allowing it to sit in thought process.
Which she did and it grew into cosmic rebellion.

This is the origin of what we now call spiritual warfare.

🔥 Lust, Pride, and the Fall

The concept of lust here goes beyond the sexual. It is the craving for what God has not given—power, worship, autonomy.

This aligns with what the Watchers in the Book of Enoch experienced

(Genesis 6, Enoch 6–7):

Angelic beings who lusted after human women and fell.

Though the Bible does not explicitly say that Abaddon or Azrael were part of Lucifer’s inner circle, the pattern holds.

Rebellion begins with desire,

stoked by deception.

This is textbook demonic deception,

and it continues to echo in our world today.

⚔️ A Symbol of Ultimate Authority: The Keys

When Jesus descended after the crucifixion

(1 Peter 3:19, Ephesians 4:8–10),

I believe Jesus descended into the depths of the abyss to

"Let It Be Known" He Is King of All Kings (in this realm & all of space-time & matter)

He proclaimed His victory in the realm of the dead.

And in doing so,

He claimed authority over what had enslaved mankind since Eden.

When he took the keys, this meant that no one descends unless it goes through Jesus first.

The keys of death and Hades are not literal,

They seem to be symbols of spiritual authority.

Where once fear reigned.

Now Christ reigns.

🧠 The Takeaway:

From Deception to Dominion

Lucifer started with a thought.

The angels fell with a whisper & so did Man Kind.

We are still in that war,

but now the Authority of Christ stands as the dividing line.

He holds the keys,

and with them,

the power to free us from the very systems of death

that once ruled.

This is why understanding the fall of angels isn’t mythology—it’s a blueprint for how demonic deception operates.

So stay alert. Test every whisper.

Measure every desire.

Is a measurement of how strong your faith is in something you cannot see, hear, taste or smell.

Meaning, the flesh cannot deceive you,

Let us Pray,

Dear heavenly father, I come to you in the name of Jesus.

I ask that you give me strength by touching my heart as I read

your word. By touching me, you will cast a deep understanding that flows

through my veins touching every aspect of my mind-body & soul.

Which feeds me peace and an understanding that your words in the

letters that make up the bible are nothing but words that came from you.

Fill my heart up with your love and keep me on the right path through new

company, new friends and a consistent routine of reading your word.
